Product Manager
Position Description
Product Manager is a position requiring a mixture of technical, management, marketing (including customer-interaction) skills. The Product Manager will have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to all phases of the product development lifecycle (concept/design, testing, delivery, support, and marketing).
Requirements
- BS or MBA preferred.
- 3+ years working in a software company.
- Strong customer/sales/marketing/product management experience.
- Experience managing the product lifecycle of consumer software products.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate detailed technical product and market information at all levels.
- New product development, product launch and project management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, research and analyze business requirements.
- Define functional requirements and user interface.
- Participate in high-level functionality design.
- Interact with development, QA, support and marketing.
- Review product documentation, test plans and training materials.
- Prepare Market Requirements materials and work with Engineering in the preparation of Product Requirements materials.
- Work with Project Management teams to make sure product release milestones and other goals are being met to specifications and on time.
- Supporting engineering team during product development process.
- Clarify functional spec as needed.
- Make tradeoff decisions between functionality and resources/timeframes as needed.
- Work with the Marketing team to create product marketing collateral.
